Immigrant visas are permanent residence (green card) visas.
Types of Immigrant Visas:
IR and F marriage and family visas
These visas are issued to a spouse, children, father, mother, and sibling of a US citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
IR1 American spouse
The applicant will marry a US citizen or someone with a US Green Card. It usually takes two years to get a green card this way depending on whether the applicant is married to Citizen America or someone with a green card and the applicant lives in or outside the United States.
